Every weekday, school classes are held in the Kangemi church building for children though the age of 12. These children come from families out in the rural bush area who cannot pay the fees necessary to send them to government run schools. Their test grades have compared with the State's and have been excellent! John is delivering two extra Singer treadle sewing machines to add to the others in the small building next to the Kangemi church. A tailoring school is held here for the young ladies from throughout this barren area who cannot afford to go to a secondary school. This gives them a skill to use to have a decent life; otherwise, they would possibly have to turn to prostitution as a "way out" of their poverty. The first graduation class of the tailoring school. Five young ladies have their diplomas showing their official completion, meeting the standards set out by the government - and their grades were all above standard!

This is a small mud building in rural Mbui. We recently completed the tin roof, and will eventually "stucco" the walls. Church meetings are held each Sunday and attendance is growing by leaps and bounds. It also houses a kindergarten where children are taught their ABC's as well as songs about Jesus by their teacher, Magdalene. The Congregation in Mbui named the kindergarten, "Rev. Dorris B. Wisner's Nursery & Kindergarten." The namesake (Dorris) stands by the sign. This is Magdalene with her new bicycle that Missionaries in Action presented to her. This makes it much easier to come to school every day from her home out in the bush area about three miles away. Bicycles are like Fords or Chevrolets to the Kenyan people, especially since there are no roads leading to their rural homes.

The Bible school in Machakos (an extension of International Seminary, Plymouth, Florida) was established in 1997. This is John sitting with certain dignitaries on the day of the dedication. Inside a classroom, Dr. Michael Sullivan is teaching a lesson. Wonderful testimonies have been received from the members of the congregations of these young pastors, saying that their knowledge of the Word and their anointing has increased so tremendously that it is like a bit light has been turned on inside the sanctuary and their ministry is so much more effective!! Praise God!!!
